Where we are in Cogne Valley
The Valley of Cogne and Gran Paradiso National Park
Cogne is one of the biggest municipalities in the Aosta Valley, and the most spread out. It is at the top of the Valley it gave its name to, at the bottom of Gran Paradiso Massif which gives its name to the
National Park.
The main town (Cogne - Veulla) is in the centre of the municipality, on the outskirts of a vast expanse of fields, the famous
Sant'Orso meadows. Four valleys start from here, including Valnontey, where the massif of Gran Paradiso rises up.
Cogne Municipality includes several villages: Lillaz, Moline, Champlong, Montroz, Gimillan, Epinel, Cretaz e Valnontey.
